April is National Poetry Month and the Swanton Public Library is putting together a community-generated Poetry Compilation.
All are encouraged to use the theme of “kindness” for inspiration in your original poem of 1500 words or less. A panel of local judges will award cash prizes ($100 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place, $25 for 3rd place.)
Everyone who enters will receive a hard copy of the poetry compilation in addition to having their work shared virtually.
Deadline to enter is April 28th.

A virtual reading will be held on April 30th at 6:30pm on Facebook Live.
This project is a collaboration of the Swanton Public Library and the Swanton Writers’ Group with funding provided by the Swanton Arts Council.
