Paul Foisy, Trustee, via phone

Evan Metayer
- The meeting was called to order at 7:15
- Evan Metayer was present to discuss offering computer classes at the library. He will offer a three part series at the library on Basic Computer Skills, 6-7 on Thursdays, April 12, 19 and 26. Additional presentations may include a program on computer privacy and security and a program on effective uses of the computer in a business capacity. TBA
- Motion to accept the January minutes (PF/KK) motion passed.
- Motion to accept the January and February warrants (KK/PF motion and second) motion passed.
- Director’s Report: See detailed report, attached.
- Board Issues: Goals and Community Interaction Policy: In keeping with it’s stated aim to serve as a community hub, the library will provided for community groups to pursue meetings and get-togethers after business hours. To do so, groups must get the director’s permission and appoint a responsible monitor. The monitor will have a list of responsibilities. Michelle will get in touch with Scott Rheaume about the installation of a library art board. Becky will contact David Jescavage and Cathy Fournier about the prospect of making Michelle and Danielle town employees and how this would affect the library finances. Future Programs: Michelle will contact Troy Staples and Darci Benoit about doing a Beekeeping program in April. As a lead-in to a visit from Dorothy Canfield Fisher author Kevin Emerson (Last Day on Mars) in late September or early October, might include a visit from the Vermont Astronomy Society in August and a Star Party at Maquam Beach in September. The library and the Crossroads program will plan to collaborate on a Children’s Business Fair, perhaps to take place before Christmas.
- The Meeting was adjourned at 8:45.
- The Next scheduled Board meeting is Wednesday, April 11 2018.
Respectfully Submitted,
Kathy Kneebone, Secretary
