November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and we want you to take the challenge!!
The goal of NaNoWriMo is to try to write an entire novel in a month, 50,000 words to be exact! An excellent resource for NaNoWriMo is the website itself. NaNoWriMo.org has a way for you to log in and keep track of your progress, use resources, try activities, and meet up with people in your area for Write-In’s. This is for all ages as well! NaNoWriMo has a Young Writers Program where they can write their story on the website and get help from published authors and fellow novelists.
And what better place to write your novel than the Swanton Public Library? We will have all sorts of resources for you writers to take advantage of that are available all year round! And some special ones, like activities and games, that will be happening just for November.
So join the challenge with your Children and Teen Librarian, Finley! They’ll be posting updates, activities, and resources on the Swanton Public Library Facebook to help keep you motivated throughout the month!
