Welcome to Summer Reading 2020 at the Swanton Public Library! This page will serve as your hub to Summer Reading Program activities and events.

First you need to register for the SRP to be eligible to win prizes as you complete your journey

The Fairy (or Troll) Garden Project is to encourage people to design and build terrifiyingly creative fairy houses. Make them out of natural materials and place them where your friends an neighbors can find them!

Write a story...together! Come back here to see how the story has progressed and add to it yourself!

Chalkwalk!

June 26-28

Pick up chalk from the library and paint the town...chalky? Get out of the house and brighten up your sidewalk (or equivalent) with fanciful art - and don't forget to check out your neighbors's, too!

Note: Chalk pickups available starting June 22nd.

A (virtual) night of fun for the family!

Fairy/Troll Garden Project + Design-a-Pennant

Sign up for a Fairy Garden supplies...or make your OWN out of natural materials. Also grab a pennant from the library to plant nearby - huzzah!

Family Coats of Arms

August 10 - 16

This week, pick up your escutcheon (fancy word for shield) and design your family's Coat of Arms! Check out some examples HERE.

End of Summer Reading

August 22

Turn in your Reading Journals and your Quest Cards by noon on this day and we will have a drawing to determine the ultimate winners of Summer Reading 2020!
