Fiercely Femme’s Book Club

May 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

A safe space for anybody with an open-mind who likes to read. Fiercely can be defined as heartfelt and powerful intensity and that’s how we see women of today. Not long ago women had to conceal true identity in writing to succeed. Still today women’s works are priced lower, more seldom purchased, and not receiving proper credit. We are here to kick that glass ceiling! We will be honoring authors that identify as women, with particular attention to Women of Color and Nonbinary women, who are extremely underrepresented in literature. All humans are welcome to participate. Join us to discuss our reviews and ideas. First meeting will be May 12th at 6PM! Looking forward to seeing you there! Contact us at info@swantonlibrary.org to get your copy of the book to read in advance. (Supplies are limited)   Book to discuss: Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado Perez
