But I Progress Book Club

We are starting a new monthly book club at the Swanton Public Library (previously called Fiercely Femme’s Book Club)!

We will be specifically honoring authors that identify as women, with particular attention to Women of Color and nonbinary women, who are underrepresented in literature. Today women’s works are priced lower, more seldom purchased, and not receiving proper credit. We are here to kick that glass ceiling! All humans are welcome. Come with an open mind and your love of books.

During the meeting, we will share snacks, discuss our reviews and ideas, and enjoy good company/ conversation. We’ll hand out the book “Men Explain Things to Me” by Rebecca Solnit, and we can discuss next books, dates, and thoughts. Looking forward to seeing you there!
